Arsenal discuss Victor Osimhen with Galatasaray amid Martinelli and Nwaneri talks

Transfer rumors, news: Tottenham continue interest for Liverpool's Gakpo

Arsenal are reportedly in discussions with Galatasaray regarding the availability of Victor Osimhen. These talks are occurring alongside Galatasaray’s expressed interest in Arsenal players Gabriel Martinelli and Ethan Nwaneri.

Reports suggest that Arsenal has been presented with the opportunity to include Nigeria striker Victor Osimhen in an exchange deal involving Gabriel Martinelli. This potential arrangement could be appealing for Arsenal, a club reportedly seeking a new No. 9. To enhance the deal, Ethan Nwaneri could also be part of this significant swap.

Arsenal is understood to be open to offers for both Gabriel Martinelli and Ethan Nwaneri. The club has engaged in discussions with Galatasaray concerning the potential sale of various squad members to the Turkish side during the current transfer window.

Transfer Market Activity

Beyond the discussions involving Osimhen, Martinelli, and Nwaneri, other transfer movements are being reported. Nicolas Jackson is said to be open to remaining at Chelsea and competing for his position under manager Xabi Alonso. Chelsea is also reportedly prepared to sell Liam Delap, with the club seeking £50m for the striker, just 12 months after his signing.

In other news, PSV Eindhoven winger Couhaib Driouech was observed at Ibrox watching Rangers on Thursday, with expectations that his move would be completed on Friday. This indicates ongoing activity across various clubs as the transfer window progresses.

Meanwhile, Liverpool and Arsenal are heading to a tribunal to resolve compensation issues for 16-year-old prospect Vincent Joseph. This follows the striker’s transfer to the London side after the clubs failed to agree on compensation terms.

Another young talent, Xavier Parker, a highly-rated 16-year-old central midfielder, has agreed to a new long-term contract with Manchester City. This agreement comes amidst interest from both Liverpool and Manchester United, highlighting the competition for promising youth players.

Other Club Movements

Newcastle are also active in the transfer market, looking for a central midfielder. This search follows the departures of Sandro Tonali and Bruno Guimarães to Spurs and Arsenal, respectively. Newcastle reportedly received around £175m for the pair and are now considering a deal for Brighton’s Carlos Baleba. Additionally, Rafik Belghali could potentially move to St James’ Park if Newcastle is willing to pay £12m for the Hellas Verona right-back.

Leeds are working to finalise a move for Nico Elvedi from Borussia Mönchengladbach, where the centre-back previously played under Daniel Farke. The 29-year-old defender is reportedly looking to leave and has only one year remaining on his contract, making a move to Elland Road seem likely.

Nottingham Forest are also making additions, bringing in former Swansea player Steven Benda as a third-choice goalkeeper without a transfer fee. This move aims to bolster the team’s depth in that position.

At Crystal Palace, strengthening squad depth is a key objective. Anan Khalaili is expected to join from Union Saint-Gilloise to provide competition for Daniel Muñoz at right-back. Crystal Palace could also be involved in a competitive pursuit for Lecce centre-back Tiago Gabriel, who is valued at £25m, with Bournemouth also tracking the defender.

Former player Wilfried Zaha is currently without a club and is training at Crystal Palace to maintain his fitness. Hull are reportedly pursuing Real Betis winger Pablo García, who is sought by several teams. The Tigers have also submitted a £15m bid to Everton for central midfielder Tim Iroegbunam.
