Philadelphia set to host UFC 330: Makhachev vs Machado Garry
UFC 330 main event in Philadelphia
The UFC 330: Makhachev vs Machado Garry event is scheduled to take place at the Xfinity Mobile Arena in Philadelphia, PA. This marks the first numbered UFC event in Philadelphia in over 15 years and the first UFC event in the city since March 2019. The event will feature a welterweight championship main event and a women’s strawweight co-main event.
The main event will see Islam Makhachev defend his welterweight title against Ian Machado Garry. Makhachev secured the welterweight belt last November by defeating Jack Della Maddalena at Madison Square Garden. This victory made him a two-weight world champion and extended his winning streak to 16, matching Anderson Silva’s record for the longest win streak in UFC history.
Machado Garry earned his title shot with two victories in 2025, first against Carlos Prates in April and then against Belal Muhammad in November. Despite winning his last five fights by decision, Machado Garry’s performance and marketability contributed to this opportunity. A notable aspect of this matchup is the size difference, with Makhachev giving up four inches in height and reach to Machado Garry, who is known for his takedown defense and footwork.
Makhachev’s career has seen him accumulate an estimated net worth of around $6 million as of 2026, primarily from UFC fight purses, bonuses, and pay-per-view earnings. His income also includes sponsorships and brand partnerships with companies like Monster Energy, Gorilla Energy, Wahed Invest, Milaf, YoungLA, and Al Hadaya. He became the UFC Lightweight Champion in 2022 and defended that title three times before moving to the welterweight division.
Born on October 27, 1991, in Makhachkala, Dagestan, Russia, Islam Makhachev began his martial arts training as a child and became a combat sambo competitor, winning the World Combat Sambo Championship in 2016. He started his professional MMA career in 2010 and joined the UFC in 2015. He is married and has three children.
Co-main event and other featured bouts
The co-main event features Mackenzie Dern defending her strawweight title against Gillian Robertson. Dern claimed the vacant title last October in Abu Dhabi by defeating Virna Jandiroba. A multiple-time world champion in Brazilian jiu-jitsu, Dern has improved her striking throughout her UFC career.

Robertson enters the fight with five consecutive wins and six victories in seven fights since returning to the strawweight division. Her most recent win was against Amanda Lemos in March. Robertson is also a grappler, holding the record for the most submission wins among female fighters in UFC history and tying Amanda Nunes for the most overall finishes on the women’s side of the sport with 10.
The main card also includes a flyweight bout between Charles Johnson and Jose Ochoa. This will be Johnson’s fourth fight of the year and fifth appearance in the last calendar year, dating back to his knockout win over Lone’er Kavanagh last August. Ochoa, a 25-year-old from Peru, has a professional record of 9-2, including a stoppage win over Cody Durden and a unanimous decision victory over Clayton Carpenter at UFC 328 in May.
Another main card matchup features Mansur Abdul-Malik against Dustin Stoltzfus. Both fighters are graduates of Dana White’s Contender Series and have roots in Pennsylvania. Abdul-Malik is returning to the octagon after experiencing the first loss of his professional career.
